Limoneira Announces Sale of Donna Circle Property for $2.3 Million

- Transaction In Line With Strategy of Divesting Non-Core Assets -

- Proceeds From the Sale Will be Used to Reduce Borrowings -

SANTA PAULA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Limoneira Company (NASDAQ: LMNR), a leading agribusiness with prime agricultural land and operations, real estate and water rights throughout California, closed on the sale of its Donna Circle property in Paradise Valley, Arizona, on May 18, 2011. The Company had been leasing the property until April 14, 2011. The property was sold for $2,275,000 cash, and the Company realized net cash of approximately $2,080,000, after selling and other costs. The Company plans to use the net proceeds from the transaction to pay down its debt. As a result of the sale, the Company will recognize a non-cash impairment charge of approximately $203,000 in the second quarter of fiscal year 2011.

As previously announced, in August 2010, the Company sold its other property in Paradise Valley, Arizona, Cactus Wren, for $3 million cash. With the sale of the Donna Circle property, the Company has completed its divestiture of its non-core real estate assets in Arizona.
